Water and Health

Your body essentially needs water to survive and for the body’s well being. Water makes up 70% of your body. Your gray matter in your brain is 85% water. Water is vital in delivering all the important chemicals to each cell in the body. Staying hydrated can help reduce blood pressure, pain from arthritis, colitis and migraines and can lower cholesterol and promote healthy skin. Water is the healthiest drink we consume. Unlike other beverages, water has no fat, no cholesterol and no caffeine. When it tastes great and smells great you’re more likely to drink it.

  • Your ears use water to conduct sound and manage equilibrium.
  • Your eyes use water to manage the transparency to light.
  • Water acts as a cushion between your vertebrae of the spine and for the brain.
  • Water maintains the body’s temperature.
  • Water acts as a lubricant for joints and the heart.
  • Water is what flushes the digestive system out and holds things in suspension when necessary.
  • Water acts with the diffusion of gas by moistening the lungs and allowing you to breath.
  • Water is a key element in absorption of nutrients and managing your metabolism.

"As you can see, the rates of skin absorption are tremendous. Ideally, one should have a whole house filtration system installed that leaves the important nutrients in the water and remove the cantaminants from bathing water. Yet, one of the problems is to properly evaluate the effectiveness of these units. In the past, different types of home treatments have been successfully used to remove a variety of minerals from the water such as iron, magnesium, etc. However, my recommendation for installing the system is for chemical removal, not mineral removal."

Doesn’t it make sense to consume the best water possible if so many bodily functions rely on it?
